When Can We See You?

HOURS - Academic Year

Thursday: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM

HOURS - Summer Quarter
(When classes are in session; we're closed for medical care during the breaks between quarters.)

Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM to Noon & 1:00 to 4:00 PM
Note: Closed for lunch from Noon to 1:00 PM

We offer same day appointments every clinic day and discourage walk ins, as the wait without an appointment can be significant. We advise calling as early in the day as possible. The Clinic's busiest hours during the academic year are between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM when wait times are as long as one-and-a-half hours for walk-in patients. The shortest wait time tends to be in the mornings before 10:00 AM.

Students with acute or urgent illness or injury who cannot wait to be seen by appointment may choose to be seen at the Center as a walk-in patient, but we prefer a phone call first. Walk-in patients are evaluated by a nurse who routes them to the appropriate provider or service for care.

When the Health Center is closed students are advised to seek services from available after-hour medical facilities in the Bellingham area. Note: The university assumes no financial responsibility for care dispensed at other health care facilities. Students who engage other health facilities must plan to use private funds or their health insurance policy, if they have one, to cover resulting charges. We strongly recommend that all students have some form of health insurance to defray the substantial costs associated with serious accidents and illness.
