Who Needs a Travel Consultation?
If you are going to a developing country including most countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa, you should have a travel consultation. We will help you determine what health risk exposures you may have and discuss preventive measures as well as provide immunizations, medications and prescriptions. There is an additional charge for this service.
The first step in the Travel Consultation process is attending a FREE Group Travel Class at the Student Health Center. These classes are held on alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm. Please call the Student Health Center to schedule: 360-650-3400 Option 1.
You will be able to schedule your Travel Consultation appointment with Dr. Mamolen after attending this FREE class.
Insurance Coverage while Traveling
In spite of the best planning and preventive measures, accidents and illnesses can happen when traveling. It is important to be sure that you have medical insurance coverage while traveling.
Charges Billed to Student Account
You may request an itemized receipt of all charges incurred, with necessary codes, for submission to your insurance company. (Please note, only a few insurance companies cover health care expenses related to preparation for travel - please contact your insurance company for questions about coverage).
